There is a You Tube website which deserves a special mention. Munrow would have probably found it interesting indeed.
It has created a number of music videos in which Medieaval, and Renaissance pieces are scored differently. Thus, one may a hear folk version, then one of many early music interpretations, and then a modern version using in part, or full "modern"instruments (including a synthesier even!). The effect is quite electric!!
What this You Tube website shows is the sheer musical possibiliities of early music. I have also included a few of their videos on my site. However, it is best to go to theirs. Blow your mind!!! http://uk.youtube.com/user/musiclivefolkstudio
